Ewen started her career with the role of Nala in the West End production of The Lion King. She has since then been seen in numerous TV series in both the United Kingdom and Australia. In 2005 Ewen joined the R&B group Trinity Stone which achieved limited success in the UK, Ireland, and Russia. On 31 January 2009 Ewen won the British national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest and will represent the country at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow on 16 May.
